Details of the event set out below were finalised further to the issuing of our January 2025 Newsletter. 

However, as we believe this intriguing and thought-provoking project may be of interest to many of you, we'd now like to bring it to your attention.

House on the Beach Information Day
Saturday, 25th January, 2025 (2pm-4pm)

This all-island Creative Ireland funded project aims to consider the urgency of climate change.

It is intended to place an artistic wooden house sculpture in the inter-tidal zone, in each of two locations one north, one south.

The aim is for one of these sites to be Burrow Rosslare for four weeks during August-September 2025.

You are invited to find out more about this proposed climate art project. Meet the artist and project team. Ask researchers from Trinity College about the impact of climate change on Irish coasts.

When:  Saturday, 25th January, 2025


Time:  2pm - 4pm

Location:  Coast Rosslare Strand Hotel, Rosslare, Co. Wexford Y35 Y93X

Format:  Drop-in any time from 2pm until 4pm to meet the artist
and project team and collaborators.

Project team:  Mary Colclough, Project Manager, Trinity College;
Gawain Morrison and Paul Kelly, Brink!

Collaborators:  Prof Mary Bourke, Geography Department, Trinity College;
Staff from Wexford County Council Climate Action Team;
Jim Hurley, Naturalist.

Colouring available for children. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
